The aims of this Module are to broaden, strengthen and deepen the knowledge and skills gained in the Introduction Module. It builds upon and compounds the skills and practical applications gained.
This Module moves from basic languaging skills to explore the key elements that are needed in successful therapy using hypnosis, metaphor and creating a compelling future process. The basic trance techniques are added to with the inclusion of verbal, non-verbal and confusion style inductions.
Students are made aware of the many different states of consciousness and their relevance to trance and waking hypnosis. They develop and expand their awareness of the skills of hypnosis and add post-hypnotic suggestions and anchors. This Module provides ample opportunity to practice trance techniques, and the use of therapeutic interventions through hypnotic language. E.g. indirect suggestions
Students proceed with their learning of NLP to create a deeper understanding of how people make meaning of their experiences in unique ways. Particular attention is paid to the Meta Model and how an individual’s use of language will have influenced their response to a specific situation.
This Module works to impart the knowledge of ‘therapeutic change’ for the client by having available the tools of either hypnosis or specific NLP techniques. This concludes the beginning phase of learning clinical hypnosis and NLP. The student’s induction and deepening skills are now broadened further to include the double induction, catalepsy and to strengthen the use of the confusion technique.
The intervention techniques can be either NLP or hypnosis based. The module is supported by an extensive assessable reading program.
