Intensive & Weekend Study Options

The Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy is completed over three terms. To suit our mainly Mature Age Students, we offer two study streams - Intensive and Weekend.

These Study Streams run in parallel so this also allows some flexibility where a student has real difficulty making a particular session
.

Weekend Study Stream

The weekend course comprises 3 terms of study over 12 months.  Terms 1 and 2 each involve a block of 4 weekends followed by monthly online tutorials.  Term 3 includes 1 weekend workshop and ongoing monthly online tutorials with an emphasis on the integration and application of the learning.  The date for the workshop is set with each class in term 2.

Intensive Study Stream

The course consists of 3 terms spread over 12 months and is a combination of classroom delivery and distance education.  Terms 1 and 2 each commence with an eight day intensive face-to-face program followed by monthly online tutorials and assignent work.  Term 3 takes a different orientation based on the integration and application of the learning and includes a 2 day workshop, online monthly tutorials and assigment work.  The date is set with each class during Term 2.

Note: Long Distance mentoring/supervision is organised for interstate students

How long does the Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy take to complete?

The course is made up of face-to-face training hours, online tutorials, supervision/ mentoring as well as assignments. It takes twelve months to complete the training and become fully qualified as an exceptional Hypnotherapist.  However, the design of the course is to train professionals in the industry and so as early as the completion of term one's face-to-face hours you will be designing treatment plans and seeing clients as a student practitioner (for a fee) as well as setting up your own practice.

You are also offered the opportunity to re-sit any part of the course within 12 months of graduating at no cost. Australian College of Hypnotherapy also prides itself on its involvement in the industry.

What Questions Should I Ask When Choosing A Clinical Hypnotherapy Course?

We suggest you ask these questions to help establish the credibility of any Clinical Hypnotherapy Course you are considering:
 1.

  Is the course Nationally Accredited?

 2.

How long does the course take to complete?

 3.

Do you have a list of graduates I can speak with?

 4.

What books and resources are used to teach the course?

 5.

What is the balance between theory and practice and how long before I am able to perform hypnosis?

 6.

What specific professional education and support is offered during and after the course?

 7.

Will I be able to obtain professional indemnity insurance when I complete the course?

 8.

Will I be Nationally accredited as a Clinical Hypnotherapist once I complete the course?

 9.   Is the qualification internationally accredited?
 10.

Who is teaching the course, what are their credentials and how long have they been training?

 11.   What is the total cost of the course and are there any hidden "extras" before I obtain my full qualification?

The answers to these questions should be clear and credible. If they are not, you may be talking to a less than reputable organisation.
